I came up with this pattern one day after a long conversation with my grandmother. Hearing stories about my great grandmother and namesake, an Inuk woman from Makkovik, Labrador, and the way she used her ulu to clean skins inspired me to make this one. I am hoping to turn it into fabric that I can sew myself.
These socks are extra comfortable thanks to their cushioned bottom. The foot is black with artwork printed along the leg with crisp, bold colors that won't fade.
